Corporate Social Responsibility at Viajes El Corte Inglés is part of its management strategy, an element of competitiveness and an essential component of the link with society that it has maintained since the company was founded.

Viajes El Corte Inglés has taken on its commitment as a socially responsible company, building a constant and fluid relationship with all its stakeholders.

As an El Corte Inglés Group company, Viajes El Corte Inglés has signed up to the United Nations Global Compact, which means committing to all the ethics and principles of human rights, labour, environmental and anti-corruption set out in this international code as our own.

Furthermore, in July 2017 Viajes El Corte Inglés signed the UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism.

During this time, the company has demonstrated its firm commitment to sustainable development by implementing various projects and activities. Since 2015 it has also focused on achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As a member of the Tourism Group and SDGs created by the Spanish network of the Global Compact at the end of 2015, Viajes El Corte Inglés has promoted activities to contribute to the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and to make the tourism industry fairer, more ethical and more sustainable.

In line with its transparency goals, the group has set up an independent internal body called Función de Cumplimiento Normativo (Regulatory Compliance Function), which reports to the board of directors.

This body is in charge of defining organisation and management models that set out the monitoring and control provisions to which all El Corté Inglés Group executives and employees are subject and which enable the company to progress towards better Corporate Governance practices. For more information, click here
